Officer Richard Lawn,
Lower
Gwynedd
Township, died from injuries sustained in the
line of duty on July 28th 2003. He left
behind a wife and four children. Fellow police officers and friends of
Richard Lawn have established numerous events in
his honor. The
Thin Blue Line 5K Race
cancelled for 2008.

Officer Richard Lawn Helping Hands Foundation,
an
all-volunteer scholarship and assistance fund based in Lower Gwynedd, PA.
OLHHF
was founded in
2005 as a memorial to the ideals of Officer Lawn for the purpose
of awarding
scholarships to
deserving area high school students and helping needy families who have lost
a parent.
The strong
must protect the weak
is an expression of Richard's mantra
through life. This
scholarship will assist students who strive to excel
academically, while manifesting these ideals.
