An award was presented at Gwynedd Square Elementary School to a Fourth Grade student who exemplifies the qualities Richard was known for (looking out for and being a mentor to those who are younger, less experienced and less capable).

May 15, 2004 - Police Memorial Service in Washington, DC  12:00PM

A memorial to honor the fallen officers of the entire country - Richard will be honored and his name will be added to the memorial.

May 12, 2004 - Bridgeport Police Memorial Service 8:30AM

May 10, 2004 - Harrisburg Police Memorial Service 12:00PM

A memorial to honor the fallen officers of Pennsylvania - Richard's name will be added to the memorial.

May 7, 2004   Norristown Police Memorial Service 12:00PM

A memorial to honor the fallen officers of Montgomery County - Richard will be honored and his name will be added to the memorial.

September 23, 2003 - Aetna PA Women's Network (APWN) picnic

Employees from Aetna's campuses and their families and friends enjoyed a fun-filled evening for a good cause. Participants had the chance to socialize and feast on great food, while the kids played entertaining games, had their faces painted and had fun on the playground equipment. Also, many attendees won terrific prizes during the raffle drawing.  All proceeds from the event, totaling close to $1,000, were donated to the "Richard Lawn Children's Fund". November 12, 2003 - Wissahickon H.S. Wing Bowl

Three seniors from Wissahickon HS sponsored a Wing eating contest and all proceeds were given to the "Richard V. Lawn Children's Fund" About 800 area residents donated money to watch 14 combatants compete at the Wissahickon High School’s First Wing Bowl Wednesday night.

November 23, 2003

Lower Moreland Police Sergeant David Scirotto won the Citizen’s Bank “Not Your Typical Runner” Contest.  Sgt. Scirotto will run the Philadelphia Marathon while earning $100 per mile to donate to the "Richard Lawn Memorial Lower Gwynedd Police Fund"

December 8, 2003 - Project Blue Light

A Tree lighting ceremony for all the police officers that died in the line of duty in Montgomery County, PA will be held on December 8th at 6pm.  Richard's children-Katie, Kelly, Connor and Megan will be lighting the tree for Richard.
